Alright scientists, are you ready for your daily dose of space information? This was a newsela article that I came across that I thought could not be more relevant to our "Everyday is Earth Day theme". SpaceX just launched the first rocket ever to have a recycled rocket booster! How cool is that!? This was a huge discovery in bringing down the cost of flights to space and their turn around time! SpaceX's goal is to have a 24 hour turn around time for rockets. Space X refurbished the 9 original rocket boosters from a refurbished rocket. This billion dollar project just opened the door for so many amazing things! This is just the start to reusing old rockets! I wonder if they will be using refurbished boosters for one the two paying costumers shoot off into space? Only time will tell!
