Hey there Scientists!

Today we met the amazing group of students that we are going to be working with for the next couple of weeks. After two weeks of cancelled classes, it was nice to finally get to see everyone in person. Each group planned some fun activities for students to complete and we rotated them around the room. I think this is such an amazing way to get students engaged with what we are going to be doing.

For my group, my colleagues and I had created clouds for each of the students to make to introduce themselves. There were multiple prompts that we had for students and since our theme is precipitation, they filled out rain drops to answer the questions. We also had a small experiment that included mason jars, shaving cream and food coloring. The purpose of this was to show the students that once the cloud gets too heavy with moisture, the precipitation then falls. They really seemed to enjoy this and so did we!

Cant wait for the next few weeks!
